I used release-process.md and the only blocking point was the rust specific error that was first mentioned in #91 and then I left a comment in the release-process.md#adding-checkpoints docs. How to update checkpoints is also there and testing is possible with a newly created wallet. As for me, it can be closed.

Just like hush3.git, we should have a release process doc that describes exactly what to do to make a new SDL release.
